Research notes

WEAK SOURCE. The quotation exists, but in a promotional post by a UV-printer seller on Sina's self-media platform, not a trade article. A 2013 trade article is more careful: China began its own R&D on machine carpet in the 1970s, and imported its first tufting machine in 1980. The only explicit dating statement found in Chinese for machine carpet. When tufting itself arrived is genuinely undocumented. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): confirmed. The quote exists, but the source is a promotional post by a UV-printer seller (content-farm quality), so it carries little evidential weight. A 2013 trade article is more careful: in the 1970s China *began independent R&D* of machine-made carpet, the first tufting machine was imported in 1980, and small machine-carpet firms followed. I saw that article once in a search summary and could not re-confirm the quote. Source: 个性定制地毯现在整个行业是个什么情况?地毯企业必懂 (What is the state of the custom-carpet industry?
