Officially named with Dalton and Gaziantep as one of the world's three great carpet clusters. Under 100 km², ~50,000 residents, 1,200+ carpet firms, nearly half of national output. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. The quote 国内每十张地毯，八张来自崔黄口 appears in the 2020 business feature, which also says the town 'produced half of the country's carpets'. That is internally inconsistent, and neither figure has a statistical source. Official and Xinhua figures: 1,200+ carpet firms (23 above designated size), >100 million carpets a year, exports about 40% of the national total and 80% of Tianjin's, and once up to 50% of national exports. Population is about 50,000–52,000 and area under 100 km² (both confirmed); about 25,000 people work in carpets. 'Officially named with Dalton and Gaziantep as the world's three great clusters' appears in Chinese state media as an industry epithet. I found no official designation. 'Nearly half of national output' should be 'about 40% of national exports'.
