Research notes

CORRECTED source. The 2004 DHT-200 commission is supported by Donghua University's own pages and Baidu Baike. The longer quote the brief attributed to 《纺织导报》 Textile Leader was not found, and no such article was located; the quotation shown is now Donghua's own phrase. Conflict: a 2007 Donghua item names the partner as Jiangxi Huayuan Group (江西华源集团), not Shanghai. Shanghai Huayuan Group Carpet Co. commissioned Donghua University's School of Mechanical Engineering. 填补国内空白 ("filled a domestic blank") is the standard formula for: nobody in China could do this before. Before that, the trade press says, tufting technology was held by American and European firms (CMC, Tuftco, Cobble). The country with the oldest carpet tradition was the last major producer to build the machine. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. The 2004 commission of DHT-200 by Huayuan Group Carpet Co. from Donghua's School of Mechanical Engineering is supported, but the wording differs. Baike says 填补了国内地毯簇绒装备产业化生产的空白 and a Donghua page says 填补了我国地毯装备业的空白. The exact quote 在整机产品设计、制造生产上均填补了国内空白 was not found, and no 《纺织导报》 article was located. A 2007 Donghua news item calls the partner 江西华源集团 (Jiangxi), not Shanghai. Baike says Huayuan Group Carpet Co. was founded in Shanghai on 1997-07-02, and the machine was appraised by Jiangxi provincial S&T authorities. Prof. Sun Yize's CV lists 'DHT-200型地毯簇绒装备研制及其关键技术研究' nominated for a 2005 MOE/national award. 'First domestic tufting machine' and 'last major producer to build the machine' are the brief's inferences. Note that CMC is Card-Monroe Corp. (US).
