Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): confirmed. Dates are confirmed. Additional details: the main drafter was 天津地毯研究所 (Tianjin Carpet Research Institute), under the national technical committee for arts and crafts (TC150) and the China National Light Industry Council. It was replaced in full by GB/T 11746-2008 (issued 2008-06-16, effective 2009-03-01). The original 1989 PDF is headed 'GB 11746-89', so the '/T' was probably applied later. The 'production running for years before 1989' line is the brief's inference.
