Research notes
Downgraded: Obeetee (1920, Oakley, Bowden, Taylor; Mirzapur) and A. Tellery (1881) are supported; Brownford, M/s E. Hill & Co. and Otto Tellery's AICMA presidency weren't found. Brownford (M/s E. Hill & Co., Khamaria); A. Tellery (son Otto became first president of the All India Carpet Manufacturers Association); Oakley, Bowden and Taylor (Obeetee, 1920). The Mughal lineage and the commercial industry are ~300 years apart. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): partly confirmed. Confirmed elsewhere: Obeetee founded 1920 by F. H. Oakley, F. H. Bowden and J. A. L. Taylor (Mirzapur, not Bhadohi proper). A. Tellery is credited (Hands Carpets / Downtown Design, a commercial source) with founding a Bhadohi carpet firm in 1881. NOT found: Brownford, M/s E. Hill & Co. (Khamaria), Otto Tellery as first president of the All India Carpet Manufacturers Association, and the Shodhganga thesis itself (title/author/university not identified). The '~300 years apart' line is the brief's own interpretation. Source: Obeetee (Wikipedia); Obeetee company site, n/a.
