Research notes
The Partition story is real for weaving generally (weavers from Sindh, Jhang and Multan arrived in 1947), but the carpet-specific migration runs east to west. Citation check (Oct 2026, from search results; pages not opened): confirmed. None on the quote. The Partition detail (weavers from Sindh, Jhang, Multan in 1947) was not verified.
