Research notes

This is a Chinese utility model for an electric hand-held tufting gun. In 2000s Chinese, the gun was called a "电织针" (electric weaving needle). The patent mattered enough to be challenged: the CNIPA Patent Reexamination Board issued invalidation decision No. 12764 on it on 22 Dec 2008, which a Shanghai patent-law site (426zl.com) discusses. Verified Oct 2026 by web search only. patents.google.com and Espacenet could not be opened from the sandbox, so I did not read the document itself. The publication number, title and 7 Sep 2005 date come from the similar-documents table on the CN2806530Y Google Patents page. The application number, filing date and grant date come from the invalidation write-up. The two sources agree. Research note (Oct 2026): found through search results; the patent document itself wasn't opened. The Patent drawings job fetches the document from Google Patents; if drawings appear on this record, the number is confirmed.
