The earliest-dated volume matching "broadloom" in HathiTrust full-text search (results begin in the 1920-1929 decade: this catalogue, then Price's directory of the floor covering trade, 1927, and Rug Profits from 1929). View status not recorded. Why it matters: Woven carpet, open question "when 'broadloom' came into use": HathiTrust shows the word in trade use by 1926-27 and nothing earlier in its scanned text. Not a primary source for "Bigelow's first broadloom, 1877", which this search did not support. Found: HathiTrust full-text search, "broadloom" (filtered to 1920-1929), 2026-10-28.
